Hello, my name is Edel Finan

I am the Regional Literacy Coordinator for Waterford and Wexford.

With nearly two decades of experience as a Literacy and English Language Tutor, I have witnessed the transformative power of literacy firsthand.  Collaborating with our Regional Adult Literacy Coalition, including educators, community leaders and health organisations, I aim to:

  • Share insights into the power of literacy.

  • Foster collaboration across sectors like Education, Health and Family, Digital Skills, Community Development, Information and Employment.

  • Increase literacy awareness and empower organisations to develop literacy-friendly approaches tailored to the needs of our community.

I am thrilled to be in this role, and I encourage you to explore the resources and opportunities available through our Adult Literacy Service and Adult Literacy for Life.
