International Literacy Day 2026 at the Leighlinbridge Parish Centre, Carlow

Great things are happening at Leighlinbridge Parish Centre, Carlow

The centre was buzzing with activity as the community came together to celebrate International Literacy Day.

From “Bring a book, take a book” to sharing stories and experiences, it was a wonderful celebration of the joy and importance of literacy at every age.

There was also great interest in digital literacy, with many people signing up for classes and taking the opportunity to build their digital skills and confidence.

A fantastic day of books, stories, learning and community spirit — showing once again what can happen when everyone comes together.
