This project provided a Braille course for deafblind  adults, which aimed to increase their independence and communication options.

The Anne Sullivan Centre hired a teacher fluent in both  Braille and Irish Sign Language (ISL) to develop a teaching plan for a 10-week course.

Weekly sessions took place at the Anne Sullivan Centre between July and November 2025. This was the first Braille course delivered through ISL to deafblind adults in Ireland.   

Learning progress was assessed weekly, with an end-of-course survey and regular review meetings. Outputs included a curriculum and plan for future courses.
