About this project

This project aimed to improve health literacy through soccer for people living in IPAS accommodation in Longford and Westmeath.  

Educators ran a series of workshops over six weeks focusing on: 

  • health and wellbeing, 

  • digital literacy,  

  • financial literacy,  

  • heart health, and  

  • workshops tailored to learner needs.

Facilitators also showed learners how to use the following services: 

  • money and budgeting services, 

  • libraries, 

  • civil defence services, and 

  • community services.
