Supporting adults to develop everyday digital skills for life.

Flyer

“ This Digital Skills course was excellently executed. The speakers and trainers were superb and beyond helpful. This course ticked all the right boxes for me.”- Learner

Through this project, adults learned how to:

  • Get started with safely using digital devices.

  • Use public services online.

  • Budget.

  • Use eGov and Welfare.ie online.

  • Find information online.

  • Make and book travel plans online.

25 workshops took place in five public libraries across County Wexford between September and December 2024. 413 learners attended the workshops.

Workshops were given by different organisations. Some examples of organisations and information they shared is listed below:

Bank of Ireland and Supervalu:

Everyday essentials, like how to use shopping and banking apps.

HSE:

How to use health and wellbeing services online.

INTREO and MABS:

How to make a budget plan.

Citizens Information Centre and Wexford Bus:

How to book travel and citizen services online.

Participants learned how to master various websites and apps.

The information sessions and workshops helped learners overcome their fears about technology. Learners built their confidence by practicing using digital media in a safe and welcoming environment.
