About this project

This project used library services, gardening, digital  literacy and cooking to engage  adults in literacy,  and food education.

A KCETB tutor delivered the 12-week in-person course. It combined gardening, digital literacy,  cooking,  and literacy through hands-on community-based  activities.  

Participants learnt how to

  • use library services,

  • use produce to cook with and explore different cultures,

  • use Microsoft Word and Canva to prepare recipes, and

  • cook in a seasonal manner.
