Computers for Beginners- Naas & Leixlip Libraries
In-library digital literacy classes for senior citizens.
This project provided health literacy courses in Newbridge Family Resource Centre (FRC) and Platinum Club House between September and December 2023.
Courses covered topics like prescription drug instructions, consent forms, and online healthcare resources. A local pharmacy collaborated with Newbridge FRC to provide activities that allowed learners to practice what they learnt during the course.
Learners say that their health and digital literacy improved considerably thanks to this course.
