About this project

This project helped parents improve their English language skills through art and writing workshops. Educators held eight workshops in total, 4 on art and 4 on writing.  

Participants came from a wide range of backgrounds, including China, Brazil, and Ukraine. Facilitators Fernanda Ferrari and Caroline Busher delivered workshops in a fun and safe environment.  

Each learner produced: 

  • two artworks, and 

  • a story in screenplay or play format.

Creative Design and Print, a printing company in Wexford, published a book compiling the art and creative writing pieces produced in the workshops.
