The project partners were:

  • Camphill Communities of Ireland

  • Tipperary Education and Training Board (TETB)

About this project

This project helped individuals with intellectual disabilities advocate for themselves in the job market through technology. Educators delivered training sessions that taught learners how to create a digital awareness campaign focusing on employment inclusion.

The project took place at the Camphill career and employment hub in Carrick on Suir between May and November 2025. The campaign gave learners a platform to showcase their strengths and abilities. It gave them the confidence to use digital tools, improve their communication skills, and recognise their value in the workplace.

More about this project

Participants learnt new skills in each session, such as:

  • creating posters using Microsoft Word,

  • using various text boxes, images, fonts, colours, and

  • recording short video content addressing the community and local employers.

The project culminated with the launch of the video at the Dream Job Inclusive Recruitment fair in the Hoban Hotel. In their own words, participants explained why they should be employed and what they can contribute to the workplace.
