About this project

The project integrated existing resources to improve learning opportunities and standardise study plans. The project: 

  • developed a shared curriculum that enables learners to transition smoothly between providers,  

  • created study plans that include classroom lessons, homework, online learning, and self-study hours to reinforce learning, 

  • standardised learning materials across organisations,  

  • expanded online resources through KELS.ie, providing learners with accessible  materials for independent learning, and  

  • promoted collaboration among stakeholders to maximise impact and sustainability.

The project transforms english language learning into a structured and accessible pathway for migrants in Kerry. Key innovations included: 

  • seamless learning across providers, 

  • consistency in learning and assessment, 

  • an online hub, 

  • person-centred study plans, and 

  • a replicable model.
