About this project
This project provided friendly and accessible literacy support for adults. It also trained volunteer tutors, who were then partnered with adults with unmet literacy needs.

Kilkenny Carlow ETB recruited volunteers, promoted the project, and delivered a 30‑hour in-person and online tutor training programme.
KCETB also offered ongoing support to volunteers and coordinated the matching of adult learners with volunteer tutors.
Tutors offered flexible, confidential, and non-judgemental literacy support for adults who may not engage with formal education.
