Laois Offaly ETB and local mart managers worked together on this project. The Irish Famer’s Association (IFA), Agri Needs, and Teagasc were also involved.
The Farmers IT and Mart Digital Help Hubs project helped farmers in Laois and Offaly to get online. This project offered IT support to farmers in local livestock marts.
The project helped farmers and older adults to send emails and find information online. It also helped people to learn more about smartphones, tablets, or computers.
In 2024 the project took place across four marts in Laois and Offaly.
The Help Hubs helped famers to access services that are important for their work. This gave them confidence.
LOETB plans to continue the Farmers IT programme in September 2025.
