Introduction to AI- QQI Level 3 Course

A new course to help people use Artificial Intelligence (AI) safely.

Course poster

This project was a collaboration between Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) and North-East Regional Skills Forum.

This project created a course that improves digital literacy skills in the workplace. The course introduces people to AI tools and teaches them how to use these tools safely.

The project took place in Cavan and Monaghan from August to December 2024.

A tutor from Cavan and Monaghan ETB helped to develop this course, with funding from the 2024 ALL Collaboration and Innovation Fund.

The course will be available to all adults learning beginner computers in Cavan Monaghan ETB. CMETB’s Quality Assurance department is working towards accreditation of the course.

Artificial intelligence is a very new area in digital literacy. Currently, there are no other courses that deal with this topic at a level suitable for adult literacy learners.

For more information about the project, please contact Ceinwen Fergus, CETB Regional Literacy Coordinator at ceinwenfergus@cmetb.ie.
