Southside Education Project

Family literacy through woodwork, gardening, and cookery.

Young course participants

This project was a collaboration between Le Cheile National School and Limerick Clare Education and Training Board.

This project gave classes in woodwork, gardening, and cookery classes. Parents and their children learned together. This helped parents learn more about their children’s school.

The school, families, and the child support centre all worked together on the project.

The plan is to keep working together and to help adults return to learning.
