About this project

This project helped members of the migrant community understand and practice the English language used in the driving theory test.

This was new type of project for Clones family resource centre. It linked literacy supports directly to driving theory preparation and community integration.

The lead organisation recruited participants through its bilingual family support worker and used Clones library as a venue.

Weekly in-person sessions took place in Clones library every Thursday from early September to late November 2025.

Tutor worked with learners on

  • practice tests,

  • terminology, 

  • worksheets, and

  • home study using a phone app.
