This project helped adults and migrants address unmet literacy needs by combining practical cooking skills with literacy development.

A cookery facilitator delivered six in-person workshops at Pobalscoil chloich cheannfhaola between September and October 2025.
Each session highlighted a specific literacy skill, including
measurements,
instructions , and
vocabulary.
Recipes were tailored to participants’ literacy levels. Storytelling and recipes from Ukraine and Sudan added a creative layer to the course.
Each learner created a personalised cookery booklet, which integrated storytelling and multicultural recipes.
