About this project

This course enhanced digital literacy, financial  literacy  and numeracy skills among marginalized communities.

The project adopted a community-centered approach to deliver workshops that  combined practical experience and  community  outreach.

Workshops,  events  and field trips were delivered at Killaloe Ballina community and family resource centre, Boher community centre, and The Lakeside Hotel.

The "Stretching your dime to dine" programme, which taught numeracy skills through cooking, took place for two hours per week over six weeks.

The "Financial Tech" programme, which taught financial literacy through technology, took place for two hours per week over six weeks in the Boher community centre.

A once-off "Cooking €5 meals on a budget" event took place for two hours in a public setting.
