This project provided a financial literacy course to the public through Clare Libraries. It made financial knowledge accessible to a wide variety of cohorts.
Project partners used library settings to improve financial literacy, combining information sessions, workshops, and take-home resources to support learning.
More about this project
Workshops took place in Scariff, Shannon, Kilrush, and Ennistymon libraries.
An information morning took place in Ennis Library, which featured speakers from the Money advice and budgeting service (MABS), Citizens Information, and an LCETB tutor.
All learners received a financial tips booklet, a take-home resource that supports practical learning.
“Everyone asked for a hard copy of the resource booklet, including the representative from MABS, Pauline McNamara, who said it was excellent!” - quote from a learner
