About this project

This project addressed unmet literacy needs through one-to-one and small-group support in reading, writing, digital literacy, and financial literacy.

More about this project

Kerry ETB adult literacy tutors delivered appointment-based sessions in Kerry library. They used computers, personal devices, printed materials, and resources like the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) booklet "Digital Matters" to help learners.

Tutors also used flexible, practical, real-life learning tasks to improve digital literacy skills.

Learners reported major confidence gains in English, Excel, Microsoft 365, reading, pronunciation, and everyday digital tasks.  One participant said she had “never learned so much so quickly” and left feeling “chuffed.”
